GHC SUPERCARD CORPORATION (GSC) is committed to protecting the data privacy rights of its stakeholders in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, and related laws, rules and regulations.

PERSONAL INFORMATION AND ITS COLLECTION AND USE

GSC collects, processes, stores, and analyzes personal data from its members, applicants, employees, shareholders, and its guests or visitors in the ordinary course of its business.

For the evaluation of the eligibility for members, employment, administering the member’s and employee’s pay and benefits, and complying with statutory and regulatory requirements, among others, GSC may collect personal data such as the name, age, marital status, contact details, government issued identification cards, tax returns and educational background of it’s prospective, active, and separated members and employees.

For purposes of maintaining GSC’s list of members, shareholders, managing shareholder account, handling dividends or other payments, facilitating communications with the member, shareholder and for other legal and investor relations purposes, GSC may collect personal data such as the name, address, contact details and government issued identification of its members and shareholders.

Upon visiting GSC’s website, other information such as the browser type, operating system, IP address, domain name, number of times and dates visited or accessed, and the amount of time spent browsing through the website or mobile application, may be collected via cookies. A cookie is a small amount of data generated by a website and saved by your browser with the purpose of remembering information. Browsers may be modified to decline cookies. Non-identifiable data collected from website visitors will only be used to track and serve relevant content to the users and address their concerns, if any.

RETENTION, PROCESSING AND PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal information will be used “as is” and will not be processed without the express consent of the data subject or for any purpose other than as disclosed. GSC will  retain the personal information  for as long as the purpose for which it was collected, and such other purposes that the data subject may have consented to from time to time, remains in effect, or until such time that it is no longer required for any other legal, regulatory or business purposes.

Personal information may be stored in a secure location within GSC’s premises or in a secure online systems/database.

GSC has organizational security measures, such as internal policies and procedures, as well as physical, and technical security measures to secure and protect personal data collected. These include provision of locked storage spaces and the installation of appropriate technology to prevent unauthorized access and to ensure the protection and security of personal data.  

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

GSC assures its data subjects that all information provided to the Corporation shall be kept confidential and will only be used within the bounds of applicable Philippine laws and other rules and regulations issued by relevant regulatory agencies, including but not limited to, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

STAKEHOLDER RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT

GSC shall uphold the rights of the data subject under the Data Privacy Act, such as, the right to be informed, to access, to object, to erasure or blocking, to damages, to file a complaint, to rectify, and to data portability.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy may be amended or updated from time to time, as necessary. All amendments or updates will be posted on the GSC website for the benefit of GSC members.
